My ideas usually come not at my desk writing
but in the midst of living.
- Anais Nin

A few sample pages from my book.
Writing and artmy two loves.
My true stories -
and stories of people
who have crossed my path
and touched me one way or another.

i'm still struggling with putting it all together,
with adding pages,
still tweaking the text,
still deciding how to treat the whole thing -
whether i should even combine the words with art
or have the words alone.

It's never the writing that paralyzes me,
nor the artwork,
nor the book layout...
It's
the
AFTER
part.

Putting it together is a lot of work
but it's something i love doing.

The after part
still scares me half to death.

  2. I'm so glad you are doing this. I think the words and artwork together are so powerful, and it will be a wonderful book. Your word-poems are so crisp, and like the artwork just the absolute essentials, so there is terrific impact.
So nice to be here again. I'll catch up as soon as I can - it's been a very hard year so far.
I want to go back now and read it see it all again.

  3. Yeah.... you heard me...visuals with words absolute must... Your writing is so powerful. If you want to see it all laid out in one book....watch for groupon to have a deal on self published books... there are so many photo book cheap deals out there especially in the next few months...if you like the way the hard copy looks then do it on blurb or somewhere else! I love what you have done so far! I see it as a coffee table book or bathroom book...so put one of your strongest pieces of art on the front....one of those three canvases you have standing on the floor a few posts down would be perfect! You have no idea how good you are!! I'm excited for you!!

You go girl...don't over think this...JUST DO IT! Be yourself..
You always make such a powerful point in very few words|!!

  5. Me, too, love the images and words combined. The images somehow give the stories more depth, make them seem more real. Amazing stories, and so wonderful to capture them. It makes me want to capture amazing stories that people tell me, stories which make me go away thinking 'wow, truth is stranger than fiction'.
