cello woman
i'm cheating - i painted this a while ago (and already posted on my blog!) but since i had nothing to post today, say hello to cello woman. It's acrylic on paper.
An off night last night (sick), so rather than paint, i cuddled on the couch with a thick comforter, mint tea and a good book. Hopefully, tonight will be more creative.
i love the sound of the cello. Always wanted to learn to play. Do any of you play the cello? If anyone said yes, I'm envious already... :-) Happy AEDM everyone. Can you believe it's almost over? it's been such a pleasure to find you all... xox
This is a beautiful painting! I love the emotion you have portrayed through the expression on her face and the colors you selected. Very calming and peaceful - I can feel her passion!
ReplyDeleteThis is an incredble painting. I am so glad to be able to enjoy it. The intensity on her face tells it all. She loves what she is doing. It does not get better than that.
ReplyDeleteI don't care if this is cheating, I LOVE HER! Beautiful work Pauline, hoping you're feeling better soon :) x
ReplyDeleteYour cello player if beautiful and I love how connected she is to her music. Sorry to hear you've been sick tho...feel better soon ~ xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic painting. She looks lost in the music. I am actually a 'cello player (although don't play too often these days). And I may be biased, but it is possibly one of the best instruments. Go on, get yourself some lessons (or at least have a listen to the Bach 'cello sonatas - 'cello at its best). Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better! This is great--I love the lines on the cello :)
ReplyDeletePauline, your work is so wonderful. I admire what you do. Hope you're feeling better soon. Without the "sick" part, sounds like my favorite kind of evening.
ReplyDeletegreat painting and I am glad you are sharing it with those of us who are new to your blog.... it is really lovely and I hope you wake up refreshed and on top of things xx
ReplyDeleteI like these! Sometimes I draw musicians at concerts, but this takes the sketch idea a little further. Hmm... I appreciate how hard it is to paint those moving fingers- nice work!
