Mahatma Gandhi

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

- Mahatma Gandhi

It's music sheet time again.

I'm not always precise when painting.

Gandhi is more slouched forward in the photo
but for some reason, i painted him
a little straighter.

We watched *GANDHI* on TV last weekend.
A long movie, but still one of my favourites.

I first saw this movie when i was a young adult,
living in Alberta (Western Canada).

I ended up going alone for some reason
and it profoundly affected me.

It must have affected others as well,
because when the movie ended,
and the credits had rolled
and the theater lights went on,
everyone was still in their seats.

Frozen in thought.

If this was a part of history
i knew nothing about before the movie,
what else did i not know?

I think this was officially the moment
where my heart opened up
to the world.

After the movie, I wanted to know everything about India
and more than anything
i wanted to travel there.

Then life happened.

Have any of you been to India?

Does anyone want to join me to travel there?
