miss fashion girl gets a boost

I don't design clothes, I design dreams.
Ralph Lauren

hello folks...

I felt like having fun last night with collage.
Don't panic yet - she kinda looks like Rocky here.

Snippets of different parts of the face from different photos.
The mouth is actually the mouth of a baby,
just cause i'm guessing some of these fashion queens
must pout now and then.

No doubt from lack of food... ;-)

A bit of color in the background to shape the face...

Yeah, i could have simply cut the paper,
but there's not much thinking going on at the early stages.

Color in the eyes... and yes, i thought she looked better
with a flower on her head rather than hair.

I'd make a fine fashion designer... ;-)

a few little extra doodles... and dots. ;-)

more detail...
notice the turtle neck sweater... it's wool. ;-)

she looks pretty sad, but most of them usually do...
(again, lack of food)

Give me a week with nothing but lemon juice and crackers,
and i'd be about ready to kill someone.

i need croissants and coffee
thank you very much...

I can't take much credit for something like this, since it's mostly collage.
But the purpose was to relax and have fun - and that i did.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
it's Friiiiiiday!!

  9. She's so cute, the flower hair, the swirly touches, the 'pins' all around her hair - it all adds up to being more than the sum of its parts. Great fun to look at as well.

  10. wow, this is awesome, I like how she evolve. very clever and fun!!!

  11. What fun seeing this done step by step- I enjoyed it. Happy PPF.

  13. Having fun is what it is all about in my book... and you did well not to give her horns and buck teeth... I always revert back to defacing pics in something like this... childish but fun... the people at the chinese takeaway are quite okay with me and even ask to see what i have done to some poor celebrity from their magazine pile... and they lend me a pen if I have forgotten one... they are enabling me like crazy... maybe have to switch to thai food to break the habit... or maybe take a leaf from your book and treat them a bit nicer...xx

  14. Oh how fun! I love putting faces together too, and yours turned out so fun! Love the mouth and the "hair"! :-)

  15. How fun! I like how you put all the pieces together in a new face, she looks all spunky even if not smiling :o)

  16. And you made me sooo happy!!! Love this girl... love this blog! My daughter is a bear when she doesn't eat.She is naturally slim and is very scary when hungry. I am not slim, quite the opposite and I never get crabby, cause I'm livin off the fat of the Seriously though love your girl, baby mouth and all!! You rock!!

  18. I loved seeing your process with something as fun as this, she looks very cool, a fun idea and something I want to try! A good idea when you are feeling a bit brain fried. :)

  19. Love how this came out and reading your thoughts in the process. The baby lips are a terrific find!
